Using soap to clean stainless steel pans

Baking soda is another natural, yet effective product. Use this method for the most stubborn stains, as baking soda is a more aggressive than soap or vinegar. Once again, fill a bowl with hot water. Then add a cup of baking soda and stir thoroughly. For the worst stains, just put in more baking soda than half a cup. Soak the cleaning cloth in the mixture and use it to wipe off all stains from your steel pans. This method is very useful when they’re very greasy, because the baking soda is so aggressive that it will loosen up most grease.
Using lemon juice to clean a stainless steel pan
Once again, using lemon juice is a natural yet effective way to clean. Squeeze two or three lemons and collect the juice in a small bowl. If your pans are extremely filthy or greasy, you can use more. For even more thorough cleaning, you can also add some soap, or vinegar. The good thing about this method, it that it will also leave a nice smell on your stainless steel pans! Dip a cleaning cloth, preferably a soft one, in the solution to wipe off the grease. If your mixture wasn’t strong enough, it’s of course possible to add even more lemon juice, soap, or vinegar.

A major advantage of stainless steel is that they’re dishwasher-safe. However, sometimes the pans get so dirty that washing them in the dishwasher won’t be enough. That’s when the methods to clean the pans I described above will come in handy. Also, when you try cleaning them in the dishwasher, make sure you have cleaned your dishwasher. Otherwise, you might damage either your dishwasher or your pans.
